  • 500g/1lb 2oz rye flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 10g/⅓oz salt
  • 10g/⅓oz instant yeast
  • 20ml/¾fl oz black treacle
  • 350ml/12fl oz cool water
  • olive oil, for kneading
